Cargo Acceptance and Restrictions
1. General Restrictions
JSC Ural Airlines accepts all types of cargo permitted for transport on passenger aircraft, except for valuable cargo with declared value (VAL) on all types of aircraft.
Ural Airlines does not accept cargo from agents in containers — only loose or bulk cargo is accepted.
The following types of cargo require mandatory prior approval and confirmation from the carrier:
- Live animals;
- Dangerous goods;
- Heavy cargo requiring verification of allowable floor load in the cargo compartment and prior coordination with the departure, arrival, or transit airport (if necessary);
- Oversized cargo.
Responsible cargo handling staff of agents, ensuring booking and acceptance of cargo for transport, must ensure that cargo unacceptable for air transport or not meeting transportation requirements, standards, and instructions is not accepted for carriage.
2. Conditions for Acceptance of Cargo for Transport
- Cargo must be pre-booked;
- Import, export, or transit of the cargo must be permitted by the laws and regulations of the country to, from, or through whose territory the transport is carried out;
- Cargo dimensions must allow free loading and unloading, placement in baggage and cargo compartments of the aircraft, and secure fastening;
- Cargo must have proper packaging that ensures safe placement and fastening on board, as well as protection during transport, handling, transfer, and storage;
- When transported on scheduled passenger aircraft, the weight and dimensions of the cargo must not exceed the limits of the doors and hatches of Ural Airlines aircraft;
- When transported on scheduled passenger aircraft, verification of allowable floor load is mandatory;
- All required documents must accompany the cargo;
- Cargo must not pose a danger to the aircraft, its occupants, or property, and must not cause inconvenience to passengers;
- Acceptance of cargo categorized as special requires prior approval from the carrier;
- If any of the above conditions are not met, the carrier or authorized agent has the right to refuse acceptance of the cargo for transport.
Important! Cargo exceeding the established weight or dimension limits may be accepted for transport only with the carrier’s consent.
