Heavy load

Heavy cargo - cargo weighing a separate place of 80 kg or more. The procedure for coordinating transportation with the airline is described above. Each individual part must be accurately weighed, labeled and labeled in accordance with IATA requirements.

Heavy cargo (cargo with a floor load of more than 200 kg / m 2 ) can be loaded if it is installed on boards or platforms (for load distribution). In any case, for any load, the maximum floor load (load per unit area) must be strictly observed.

Note: Mr. Ruz, plenty of space which exceeds 200 kg, can be accepted for carriage in the case: the maximum permitted for the carriage of the weight of one place heavy cargo does not exceed the maximum permissible specific load on the aircraft floor and with prior approval of the airport of departure, arrival or transit (if necessary).

  1. Carrier personnel, sales agents, employees of service companies at the departure station, responsible for receiving goods, are obliged to pay attention to the hidden danger of heavy cargo in order to ensure flight safety, so they must refuse all consignments that are not meet the requirements below;
  2. Sending must be carried out in accordance with the following conditions:
    • The shipper must inform sales agents, employees of service companies at the departure station, responsible for the acceptance of goods, about the specifics of transportation, loading and unloading;
    • The cargo must be booked and transportation confirmed to the final destination;
    • The automatic reservation system has the corresponding IMP code;
    • The limits of the maximum weight of one place must be observed;
    • The capabilities of ground equipment at individual stations along the route should be taken into account;
    • AWB
      • in AWB in the column “Name and number of seats” you need to indicate the size and weight of each seat and the HEA IMP code;
      • in AWB in column HI - telephone contacts of the consignee;
    • Application - confirmation of reservation information;
    • Packages must be labeled with heavy cargo symbols; and the same shall be indicated in the transport documents;
  3. Packages should be placed on pallets or pallets (if necessary) to distribute the load on the floor;
  4. The responsible agent at the picking station must ensure that all restrictions are met;
  5. Responsible persons of CHA, GHA should carry out thorough loading / unloading and any other cargo handling; in the same way they should use the technical means of ground handling devices;
  6. You need to know that when handling heavy cargo, personnel are at high risk and danger to health, as well as damage to the aircraft or its parts.
